MK2 CERTIFIED ANNUAL VISUAL INSPECTION (REMOTE)

Remote visual inspection with completion of a checklist to enable geographically dispersed vessels to get our annual visual certified LSA inspection completed on schedule.

Please note: a competent crew person to be designated to assist with the remote inspection. He/she will be required to remove and re-pack all recovery line and to provide close-up camera footage of component parts, exactly as requested by the inspector until he/she is satisfied that a thorough visual of the equipment and all its operating parts has been carried out.

The checklist completed during the inspection will be emailed to the competent person for counter signing and return. 

Equipment that has passed can then be granted a certificate.

Equipment with defects cannot be granted a certificate.

Any defects must be rectified and any defective parts replaced.

A period of two weeks will be allowed for getting parts replaced then another remote inspection must be carried out to verify that repairs have been satisfactorily completed. A verification inspection will be free of charge.

Equipment with repairs verified can be granted a certificate.
